Up for sale is a gorgeous, highly collectible Postwar O-gauge Lionel 2344 New York Central F3 AA Diesel Locomotive Set. This stunning set features the classic NYC dark grey lightning stripe livery and is the desirable early-production variant equipped with wire mesh roof ventilators. The set includes one powered A-unit and one matching dummy A-unit.

  • Operation: Bench-tested and Runs Great! The dual vertical motors pull strongly, and the 3-position e-unit cycles cleanly through forward, neutral, and reverse.

  • Cosmetics: This set is in Excellent condition, showing remarkably light play wear for its age. The dark grey paint is smooth with fantastic coverage, and the silver lightning stripes and "New York Central" lettering are crisp, clean, and highly legible. The red and white oval nose decals are fully intact and present beautifully on both units.

  • Chassis & Underbelly: Exceptionally clean undercarriages with matching dark painted fuel tanks and frames. The battery compartment on the powered unit is easily accessible via the brass-colored screw cover plate and shows no signs of destructive battery acid damage.
