Refund policy
Damages and issues
In the event your order is damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at support@roundhousetrainsky.com with your order number and a photo of the item condition. We address damages on a case by case basis but will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution. Roundhouse Electric Trains, Inc. ships all items FULLY INSURED and will provide you with a copy of the original shipping document detailing the amount of insurance. The Buyer can then present the shipment document with the damaged item to the shipper (primarily the US Post Office) for settlement.
Returns If you believe there was a discrepancy between the listing descriptions and the condition of the item received, please contact Roundhouse Electric Trains, Inc. at support@toundhousetrainsky.com to discuss the issue. If we agree that a discrepancy occurred, you will be automatically refunded on your original payment method upon receipt of the returned item in good condition, the same as shown in the listing. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
Most Roundhouse Electric Trains, Inc. new merchandise is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Roundhouse Electric Trains, Inc will replace merchandise or provide refunds (at our option) for a reasonable period (up to 14 days) after purchase on damaged or defective items only - as a customer service and subject to stock availability
Roundhouse Electric Trains, Inc. may, at its sole discretion, agree to the return of an item that a customer has decided does not fit his/her needs; Roundhouse Electric Trains, Inc. will charge a 25% restocking fee in this circumstance, with return shipping paid by the returning party. This only applies if the retail packaging is intact and the item is unused.
Specific to Online Returns
We would like to only accept returns in store. However if the customer desires to start a remote return, you can contact us at support@roundhousetrainsky.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on shipping your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
Exceptions
No returns on merchandise marked "AS-IS".
No returns on layaway sales; please see the Roundhouse Electric Trains, Inc. layaway policy
No returns on special orders (items not normally stocked by Roundhouse Electric Trains, Inc. and specifically requested by a customer).
Our Commitment
Roundhouse Electric Trains, Inc. endeavors to be fair and reasonable. We request, in turn, that our customers be reasonable in their requests for returns of used merchandise, dated merchandise, items altered to meet a customer specification or items that Roundhouse Electric Trains, Inc has otherwise lost the ability to resell or return to the manufacturers for replacement or credit.
