Up for sale is an expertly enhanced, bench-serviced Proto 2000 Heritage Steam Collection USRA 2-8-4 Berkshire locomotive and tender in HO Scale. Originally released as an unlettered model (Item #30019), this unit has been professionally decaled, realistically weathered, and mechanically overhauled to represent Chesapeake & Ohio (C&O) road number #2686 featuring the classic "C&O For Progress" logo on the tender.

Professional Bench Service & Upgrades:

  • Rebuilt DCC & Sound: The DCC system has been fully rebuilt with a brand-new decoder chip and custom programmed for optimized power routing, fine-tuned motor control, and clear steam sound effects.

  • Rebuilt Front Pilot: The pilot assembly has been carefully restored and rebuilt using premium spare detail parts to restore exact structural alignment and prototypical detail.

  • Full Mechanical Polish: The driving wheels and tender pickups have been thoroughly cleaned, descaled, and freshly oiled/lubricated for immediate, reliable contact and smooth track performance.
