Up for sale is a rare, vintage P.H. Hobbies Inc. "E Series" #S3005S Digital Steam Sound System. This classic, high-end retro craftsman electronics kit is designed to install inside trailing rolling stock (such as a G Scale tender or an O Gauge boxcar/baggage car) to add authentic, synchronized sound effects to your large-scale model railroad layout.
Kit Condition Details:
  • Circuitry Board: Pristine, uninstalled condition. Features a clean printed circuit board layout built around a specialized 8-bit microprocessor with programmable memory chips.
  • Hardware Components: Includes the master wiring loom harness, a potentiometer volume control switch dial with attached lead plugs, a large sound system speaker, mounting washers, a speaker drill template sheet, and a small timing magnet trigger.
  • Battery Assembly: Features a wrapped heavy-duty rechargeable battery pack with pre-soldered positive/negative wire leads. Note: Due to the vintage nature of this old stock item, the battery cells may need to be replaced or cycled to hold a full charge.
