 Condition Statement

Pre-owned, vintage O gauge condition. The tinplate Commodore Vanderbilt steam engine and Pennsylvania tender show expected play wear, surface scuffs, paint loss, and light rust/patina on bare metal undersides and wheels. The red Pullman "Montclair" passenger car, New York Central Lines crane car, and Union Pacific caboose display age-related paint wear, minor scratches, and light oxidation. All cars feature intact metal tab/slot couplers. Un-tested for electrical operation. No original boxes included. Please review all detailed photos for exact cosmetic condition.

Up for auction is a vintage prewar/postwar Marx O gauge 5-piece tinplate train set featuring the classic Commodore Vanderbilt streamlined steam locomotive. Accompanying the locomotive is a matching black Pennsylvania tender and three iconic Marx tinplate cars: a red Pullman "Montclair" passenger coach, a New York Central Lines wrecker crane car, and a Union Pacific yellow 3824 caboose.

All cars in this set feature original metal tab-and-slot couplers. A wonderful lot for collectors of early American tinplate toy trains or those looking to expand a vintage O gauge layout.
