Product Description

Up for sale is a stunning HO Scale Brass New York Central (NYC) L-3a 4-8-2 Mohawk. Imported by Key Imports and masterfully constructed by Samhongsa in Korea/Japan, this model is a workhorse of the "Water Level Route."

This specific unit features the Boxpok drivers and represents the L-3a class in its prime. It is an unpainted, "bare brass" model, making it a perfect candidate for a professional custom paint job or a beautiful shelf display piece.

- There is also a weight and extra little parts in the red bags.

Condition Disclosure:

  • Mechanical: Tested and runs great. The drive train is quiet and responsive.

  • Cosmetic (Foam Staining): Like many vintage Key models, this unit suffered from contact with the original red factory foam. This has caused a reddish tint/staining on the brass surface.

  • Preservation: To protect the model, we have professionally wrapped the locomotive and tender in archival-safe plastic before placing them back into the foam.
