Up for sale is a beautifully preserved, vintage HO Scale Brass DL-600b High Hood road switcher (the legendary prototype designation for the ALCO RSD-15 "Alligator"). Imported in 1968 by Alco Models and handmade by master builders Kumata (KMT) in Japan, this model remains an exquisite collector's canvas for brass enthusiasts and historical diesel modelers alike.

Item Condition & Visual Inspection Breakdown:

• Cosmetic Condition: Great Condition - see pictures

• Underside & Mechanical State: The bottom plates, dual six-wheel Co-Co trucks, and driver plating are clean and solid (see IMG_8664.jpg). It retains its dependable dual-truck mechanical drive setup.

• Operational Note: Runs Well. Fully bench-tested by our shop technicians. True to its vintage open-frame motor lineage, it tracks smoothly across power ranges with standard, characteristic classic gear noise.

• Packaging & Content Details: Complete in the original vibrant cobalt blue Alco Models box. The original degraded factory foam has been safely removed and upgraded to secure, premium bubble wrap to protect the handrails (see IMG_8667.jpg). Includes the unopened factory baggie containing original spare detailing parts (see IMG_8656.jpg).
