Description: A wonderful piece of hobby history! This is the Marx No. 9734 Allstate Electric Train Set, originally sold exclusively through Sears, Roebuck and Co. This set is remarkably complete and features the heavy die-cast 2-4-2 steam locomotive.

Set Includes:

• Die-Cast 1666 Locomotive & Tender: New York Central livery.

• Rolling Stock: 4-piece freight consist including the Chemical Rocket Fuel Tanker, Pennsylvania Gondola, Baltimore & Ohio Boxcar, and NYC Caboose.

• Original Allstate Transformer: With power cord.

• Track: Large assortment of curved and straight O-27 track.

• Original Box: Includes the original Sears/Allstate yellow outer box and internal cardboard dividers.

Condition Report:

• Locomotive: Metal body is in great shape with crisp "1666" lettering. Drive rods are intact.

• Cars: Colors are bright. The "Chemical Rocket Fuel" tanker—a favorite for this era—is in excellent condition.

• Box: Shows typical shelf wear and aging for a 60-year-old set, but the structure is solid and the graphics are clear (see photos).

• Operation: everything is tested and runs.
