The Lionel VisionLine NYC Niagara #6005 remains one of the crown jewels of O-gauge engineering. This model features the legendary "S-1b" detailing and the industry-leading VisionLine technology suite.

Key Features & Functionality:

  • Reciprocating Cylinder Steam: Fully Functional. The "blow down" steam effect from the cylinders is working perfectly, syncing with the locomotive's speed.

  • Whistle Steam: Fully Functional. Clean, white plumes emerge from the whistle when activated.

  • Main Stack Smoke: Fully Functional. High-output fan-driven smoke unit provides realistic chuffing.

  • Force Sensing & Sound: The VisionLine sound system and load-sensing technology are fully operational.

  • Road Number: #6005.

Technical Disclosure (Tender Smoke):

Please note that the tender-based water-scoop steam effect (simulated track-pan spray) is currently not producing smoke. All other features, including the locomotive's three smoke units, lighting, and sounds, have been tested and work as intended. This is a common maintenance item that may require a simple wick replacement or fluid prime for the dedicated tender smoke unit.

Condition Details:

  • Paint & Detail: Excellent condition with no missing piping or broken trim.

  • Electronics: Responds perfectly to LEGACY and TMCC commands.

  • Wheels/Tires: Minimal wear on the rollers and drivers, indicating low runtime.
