Up for sale is a premium N Scale passenger set in excellent condition. This set represents the classic "Smooth Side" Amtrak fleet and is complete with all original documentation and specialized parts.
What’s Included:
6 Detailed Passenger Cars: Includes the full complement of Baggage, Coach, Diner, Sleeper, RPO, and the iconic rounded-end Observation car.
Original Packaging: Comes in the signature green Kato "book-style" case with the original cardboard outer sleeve (showing minimal shelf wear).
Uninstalled Detail Parts: Includes the original plastic sprues containing unmounted detail parts (diaphragms/coupler parts) still in their factory bag.
Documentation: Original Kato instruction/part sheet is included.
Condition Details from Photos:
Trucks & Couplers: Equipped with standard Rapido-style couplers that appear to be in perfect working order. Wheels are clean and show very little signs of use.
Body/Paint: The silver finish and Amtrak red/white/blue stripes are crisp and vibrant. No visible scratches or paint loss.
Collector Note: This is a "Ready to Run" set but remains in near-collector grade due to the uninstalled parts and complete box/sleeve.
